Julie King January 24, 2007 Dear Dental Chickens, I'd like to thank you, Debbie and Paula for being so terrific w/ me and my 'scared witless' self. I'm so phobic about dentists, and I still can't believe that after just 2 sessions, I'm all done with all the work. You are doing such a service in offering sedation and/or nitrous oxide for patients who otherwise can't sit for long in a dental chair; also for doing the all-at-once sessions. Previously, I've gotten up and left an office in the middle of a cleaning, let alone a crown prep. Also dentists can be extremely arrogant and patronizing with phobic patients, leading the patient to stay away even longer. I appreciate that you never said "Oh how disgusting! How can you have let your teeth go like that" or anything like that. You also went out of your way to help schedule my appts which was very helpful. Your staff is truly terrific. I walked in one day after having seen your ads (clipped them out but couldn't call) and one day was at Playa Post Office and saw your "Dental Chickens" sign so I went up the stairs. Debbie talked to me that day for quite awhile and I actually made --and kept-- my first appointment. You all are obviously committed to helping the truly panicky patient calm down, which is no small feat and does take the whole team. Please accept my sincere thanks, all of you. Julie King |
