Smile Renewed

For years now I have been self conscious about my smile. Looking back at photographs, it was obvious I never showed my teeth. My teeth were just plain ugly. Norma had not been to a dentist for almost twenty-five years. She worked for the police department as a dispatcher. She was very embarrassed and never smiled due to her rotten teeth. Her outlook on life was very poor. When she did laugh, Norma covered her mouth so her friends couldn’t see her rotten teeth. As a child, her experiences at the dentist were horrible. Norma said that the dentist used to drill without Novocain and told her it would not hurt. The dentist would hit her when she moved.

Norma wanted to be asleep for her treatment. She trusted Dr. Nolan. Dr. Nolan had spoken to her many times on the telephone. Norma was so afraid to see a dentist that she would not even telephone the office for an appointment. Norma wrote a letter to Dr. Nolan to explain everything before coming into the office. After several consultations, Norma decided to have about ten teeth extracted and a partial denture placed in the upper arch. Everything was accomplished in one visit while she was asleep.

Now as you can see by the photograph she is very happy. Norma has smiled more in the last several months than she has in the last twenty years. She was very happy to let us take the after photograph. Norma’s self-esteem and confidence has soared after her appearance was transformed.

Thanks to Dr. Nolan and his wonderful staff, I finally have my smile back and I love to show it.
